The Boulogne Bicycle Rally is an annual gala weekend. It involves a lot of people cycling around the approximate route of the historic Boulogne Grand Prix circuit on vintage bicycles. There are numerous refreshment stops along the way. This event happens every year on the second bank holiday weekend in May and follows a traditional schedule that never really varies from what we did last year. Most people arrive on Saturday evening and concregate in the Vole Hole bar in Boulogne before eating a nice meal in one of the available eateries. The bicycle ride takes place in a drunken haze on Sunday, then we come home on the Monday.
